The 2011 Ford GT California Special featured a new DOHC V-8 engine on release, and is one of the fastest Mustangs of all time with a zero to 60 MPH time of 4.3 seconds. The car’s engine is rated at 412 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. The GT California Special covers the quarter-mile in 12.8 seconds with a top speed of 110.8 MPH. Ford sold the car with the choice of either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission with manumatic shifting. The top speed of the automobile is governor limited to a range between 115-149 MPH. The car’s fuel economy is rated at 19 MPG (city) and between 24-30 MPG (highway).
