Highlights
December 14, 2016: Nissan has unveiled the
mid-life updated version of the current generation X-Trail in the USA.
The Japanese automaker is most likely to launch this facelifted version
in India, instead of the pre-facelift model showcased at the 2016 Indian
Auto Expo. The SUV has received several aesthetic changes inside-out,
but mostly to its exterior. Mechanically it remained unaltered, Nissan
will only launch the hybrid version of the SUV in India. It is powered
by a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine coupled to an electric
motor and the powertrain is mated to a CVT (continuously variable
transmission) automatic. It will have features such as Around View
Monitor, Active Engine Braking, Active Trace Control, Active Ride
Control, Hill Start Assist, Active Brake Limited Slip and Vehicle
Dynamic Control.
